Applied Mineralogy Online

Applied mineralogy is an interdisciplinary field that embrace the wide range of applications of mineralogy to the various areas of the mineral, metallurgy, chemical and materials industry as well as recycling and environmental assessment and monitoring. It involves characterizing a wide spread of different ores, concentrates, materials and residues, and interpreting the data in respect to the industrial processes, end uses and environmental regulations.

The aim of this web site is to provide basic information concerning “what is going on” in the applied mineralogy fields around the world, with particular focus to the International Council for Applied Mineralogy - ICAM and the International Mineralogical Association - Commission on Applied Mineralogy - IMA-CAM .
